Bafang M420 is a 250W CAN-bus mid-drive with an integrated speed + torque sensor, 80 Nm of torque, and a 1:33.4 reduction ratio. The motor uses 8 magnet poles (4 pole pairs) and is rated IP65. It runs the Bafang CAN protocol over a triangle connector and requires a purpose-built frame with motor mounting tabs — it is not retrofittable onto a standard threaded BB shell.
