Components Compatible with Bafang M820
The Bafang M820 is an ultra-light CAN-bus torque-sensing OEM mid-drive for lightweight eMTBs. Rated 250W with 80 Nm of torque, it spins up to 120 RPM cadence, runs 36–48V, and weighs just 2.3 kg — the lightest in the M-series. It uses the Bafang CAN protocol over a triangle connector and is NOT compatible with UART BBS displays. IPX6. Crank interface is a standard ISIS spindle (carbon and alloy aftermarket cranks fit) on a 104 BCD 4-bolt spider accepting 32–40T chainrings; it requires a purpose-built frame with motor mounting tabs and is not retrofittable to a standard BB-shell bike.
