Bafang's BBSHD (BBS03) is the flagship aftermarket mid-drive — a heavier, lower-Kv redesign of the BBS02 with a 48mm-wide stator, embedded IPM magnets, and an upgraded controller delivering 160 Nm of torque and roughly 1600W peak. It runs 48V/52V, drives a 46T chainring through a 1:21.9 reduction, and carries two temperature sensors for sustained climbing and heavy loads. Uses the Bafang UART display protocol and fits 68/73mm bottom brackets (100/120mm fat-bike versions available); IPX5 water resistance.
